Trump Triumphs in South Carolina with Record Turnout

CNN, ABC, and MSNBC report that Donald Trump has won the South Carolina Republican primary, a tremendous show of strength in the heart of the Deep South that validates his status as the GOP’s national front-runner.

Donald Trump has won the S.C. Republican presidential primary, NBC, the Associated Press and CNN are reporting.

The New York billionaire led polls in South Carolina since late July. He won all but two S.C. polls since entering the race.

With less than 1 percent reporting, U.S. Sens. Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio were vying for second place.

Donald Trump has won the South Carolina Republican primary, a second-straight victory for the billionaire real estate mogul after his first-place finish in New Hampshire.

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio are in close race for second. Yawn.

Exit polls taken in South Carolina found that about three-quarters of Republican voters support a temporary ban on Muslims who are not American citizens from entering the United States. That’s one of Trump’s signature proposals.

A majority of voters looking for an outsider candidate supported Trump, providing a boost to the first-time candidate for office.

Jeb Bush suspended his campaign after his disastrous showing in South Carolina. His own mother told him not to run, and on Saturday, Jeb Bush finally caved to her political wisdom, suspending his presidential campaign after another disappointing showing in South Carolina’s primary.

“The people of Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina have spoken and I really respect their decision. So tonight I am suspending my campaign,” he said at a post-election party in Columbia.

And as soon as Rubio found out he was second place he started parroting some of the things Mr. Trump had already said months ago. Neither Rubio nor Cruz would would left a finger to help the unemployed in this country since Rubio was all for open borders and Cruz wanted to raise the number of stem workers 500 percent brought into the country from India to take jobs from U.S. workers while they trained their replacements and were then kicked out the door. Mr.Trump is badly needed in the White House to head off the total destruction of the U.S.. Hillery intends to give us eight more years of Obama’s management of the country and Sanders wants to give everyone in the country free stuff not having a clue how he would pay for it unless he raised taxes on everyone 80%.

Give credit where credit is due. Trump is getting Americans who have been disengaged from electoral politics back into the process.

Also, after stating the truth that the Bush administration misled the American people about Iraq and WMD’s; Trump received more votes from SC veterans than any other candidate (35%).

Trump seems poised to do well once again Tuesday in Nevada’s caucus.
