President Donald Trump has been nominated for the 2017 Nobel Peace Prize for his ‘peace through strength ideology’, according to a report by AFP. Trump’s nomination, which was reported last Thursday by foreign media, has been ignored by the American media.

He was nominated by an unnamed American, who wants him recognised for “his peace through strength ideology”.
The Nobel Institute announced on Thursday that 318 people and organisations are in the running for this year’s Nobel Peace Prize, reports Daily Post.
Apart from Trump, notable figures believed to be part of the nominees include Syria’s White Helmets and Pope Francis.Financial Express
Surprisingly, Donald Trump appears to have been nominated for the prize this year – part of near-record list of 318 nominees.
The list remains secret, but one unidentified American is believed to have nominated Trump for his ‘peace through strength’ approach.
People who are able to nominate include government ministers, university professors and former winners of the Peace Prize.
The Local reports that others on the list include NSA leaker Edward Snowden and jailed Saudi blogger Raif Badawi, according to The Local.
