It isn’t a secret that Hillary Clinton is staunchly anti-Second Amendment. She and other progressives routinely refer to “gun violence” as if guns themselves can shoot people without an actual person pulling the trigger.
A recent audio recording of Clinton speaking at a private fundraiser was published by the Washington Free Beacon that has Hillary Clinton promising to launch a massive and far-reaching attack on the Second Amendment should she become president of the United States. In the audio, Clinton not only rails against the National Rifle Association, but she arrogantly decrees that the United States Supreme Court is “wrong on the Second Amendment.
Where all things constitutional are concerned including the Second Amendment, the United States Supreme Court is the arbiter of what is constitutional and what is not. Clinton’s notion that its stance on the Second Amendment is wrong exposes the fact that she holds the U.S. Constitution to be a flawed document, just as Barack Obama does.
As with everything that exposes her true agenda, Clinton made her remarks to high-value, big-money donors. She knows she could never say these draconian things from a public stage where she simply panders for votes. To expose her anti-Second Amendment stance would be to alienate some all-important undecided voters.
In her remarks, Clinton declared she would not only aggressively advocate for a permanent “assault weapons” ban, but she would also challenge the Supreme Court on other rulings including The District of Columbia v. Heller.
Some lives are more important:
While Clinton has routinely stated she is “anti-gun violence” (one would have to travel far and wide to find anyone “pro-gun violence”), this is the first time she has stated she is willing to expend personal effort and the influence of the presidency to challenge the Judicial Branch over Second Amendment issues. Given that progressives, like Clinton, have a penchant for issuing unconstitutional executive orders, this is of serious concern.
“I was proud when my husband took [the National Rifle Association] on, and we were able to ban assault weapons, but he had to put a sunset on so 10 years later,” Clinton said. “Of course, [President George W.] Bush wouldn’t agree to reinstate them…We’ve got to go after this, and here again, the Supreme Court is wrong on the Second Amendment. And I am going to make that case every chance I get.”
Clinton also used the occasion to unleash a brutal attack on the National Rifle Association, vowing to oppose the pro-Second Amendment group. She insisted she would be making this a key component of her campaign. To date, Clinton has not made good on this promise.
“I’m going to speak out, I’m going to do everything I can to rally people against this pernicious, corrupting influence of the NRA, and we’re going to do whatever we can,” she said. Clinton continued to say the NRA has intimidated members of Congress.
“The idea that you can have an open carry permit with an AK-47 over your shoulder walking up and down the aisles of a supermarket is just despicable,” she said.
Of course, one cannot possess a fully-automatic weapon in the United States. Fully-automatic weapons are illegal. This is the false flag argument of the existence and potency of “assault weapons.” The moniker “assault weapon” describes a style, not a capability. But progressives, like Clinton, are willing to deceive the people about these types of weapons in an effort to scare the public into supporting an abdication of their constitutional right to bear arms.
In the end, progressives need to expunge all firearms from the public’s possession because then, when they make their unconstitutional move to complete their “fundamental transformation of America,” the only people to have weapons will be those in their control. We the People will be relegated to “subjects” with no viable recourse.
The Framers included the Second Amendment not because they liked to hunt, but because they opposed tyranny. They enshrined our right to dissolve the government should it betray freedom and liberty. Progressives, like Clinton, are trying to take the avenue of revolution away from the people
