Laura Ingraham: Ed Gillespie Lost Because He Never Fully Embraced Trump

I made this point really consistently that there is no middle ground with conservative populism.

That is the wave of the future. There is no constituency for open borders, open markets, and endless military intervention. There is no constituency. So, maybe Gillespie wouldn’t have won if President Trump campaigned with him, but trying to be half in, half out with Donald Trump was never going to work. If you dip your toe just in a little bit, you’re going to turn out like Ed Gillespie, political road kill. The glory days for the establishment Republicans are coming to a close, that’s a fact. And we saw those results tonight.

The voters didn’t care much for Gillespie in the first place they considered the other guy would see things their way an Gillespie wouldn’t. I doubt he would have won even if President Trump had stood on the stage with him, there was something about Gillespie the voters saw that turned them off. I don’t know a thing about either of them but its the voters state let them run it any way they want, if the knew guy they voted in refuses to do his job its up to the voters to kick him out.
